By Katie Ecoff, a Psychology major and Chemistry minor.
The following work was created for ART 294: Printmaking.
Artist statement: The piece “Thoughts” was made using two linoleum blocks and relief paint. It was created to represent thoughts, the inside of the thought bubble itself is left blank to allow the viewer to implement their own thoughts. There are three prints to represent the idea of how thoughts begin to mirror themselves when a person is constantly around the same people, but when looked at individually, the thoughts begin to differ just like when a person forms their thoughts independent from those around them.

Katie Ecoff is a junior, majoring in psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience and minoring in chemistry on the pre-med track. She works for admissions as a George’s General, is president of Rotaract club and Vice President of Zeta Tau Alpha. She has always enjoyed art, and found that the studio classes at WC have pushed her created ability and overall enjoyment of it.
