New semesters bring new adventures and challenges from which we learn and move through. As I moved into the Editor-in-Chief position, after Erica Quinones announced her departure from WCR to concentrate on guiding The Elm, I knew I was entering a place where excellence was a daily mantra.  I now begin a new journey to continue to present work that highlights the inventiveness and excellence that our Washington College student writing community so often shares with us.  We welcome your work and your support in continuing to create a place for academic writing and talented writers.

To my predecessor, Erica Quinones, who will graduate this semester and go on to do amazing work, thank you for your example of excellence.
